Project Overview

AbVin Valor was engaged by a mid-sized technology company undergoing rapid growth to design a scalable KPI Framework and Performance Assessment Model. The company’s existing system lacked the standardization needed to align employee performance with business objectives, creating inefficiencies in performance reviews and challenges in talent identification. Our goal was to create a structured and transparent system that aligned individual efforts with the company’s strategic goals, improving performance accountability and engagement.

Project Objectives:

  1. Design a KPI Framework – Establish clear, quantifiable KPIs across departments like engineering, QA, product development, and digital marketing to measure performance accurately.
  2. Develop a Performance Assessment Model – Build a consistent, transparent, and objective model for performance evaluation across all levels.
  3. Implement Continuous Feedback Mechanisms – Integrate real-time feedback loops to enable ongoing employee development and recognition.
  4. System Integration – Ensure seamless integration of the new model with existing HR systems.
  5. Facilitate Change Management – Train employees and managers on the new system for smooth adoption.

Project Execution:

  • Initial Assessment & Stakeholder Engagement: We conducted interviews and workshops with senior leadership, department heads, and HR teams to identify pain points in the existing performance management process. This set the foundation for designing a framework tailored to the company’s unique business needs.
  • KPI Framework Design: A comprehensive framework was developed, incorporating department-specific KPIs such as code quality and project timelines for engineering, while cross-functional metrics like collaboration and adherence to deadlines were also established to foster cohesion.
  • Performance Assessment Model Development: We created a transparent and fair assessment model that used both qualitative and quantitative metrics, ensuring alignment with the company’s short- and long-term business goals.
  • Continuous Feedback Mechanism: To address the company’s reliance on annual reviews, we implemented continuous feedback loops, allowing for real-time performance discussions, increasing employee engagement, and promoting timely development.
